The book The Word Detective by EFNIL Executive Committee member John Simpson is chosen for the Book of the Week of BBC Radio 4. The book itself is a memoir of John Simpson’s life and times at the Oxford English Dictionary. For the occasion an abridged version of the book will be serialised in five quarter-hour instalments on BBC Radio 4. They will be broadcast daily at 7.45 pm starting on Monday, 13 March 2017.
