Seminar on eTranslation for EFNIL members

The Directorate General for Translation demonstrated their online translation tool at a webinar exclusively for EFNIL members and organisations.

EFNIL had its first event this year on the 10th of February with the kind cooperation of the European Commission. The Directorate General for Translation (DGT) had offered to demonstrate their online translation tool at a webinar exclusively for EFNIL members and organisations. Participants could learn about the DGT’s tools for online translation, speech-to-text tool and other features at the webinar.

The webinar started with a welcome speech by EFNIL president Sabine Kirchmeier who thanked the DGT for their presentation. Ágnes Farkas, representative of DGT presented the eTranslation tool and demonstrated its different functions. The demonstration was followed by a QandA session complemented by Markus Foti (DGT), where participants could gain more insight to the operation of the tools and related topics.

eTranslation is an online machine translation service provided by the European Commission. The tools are accessible free of charge for public institutions, small and medium sized companies, NGOs and universities. More information is available on the European Commission’s website

EFNIL would like to thank the DGT once more for the insightful webinar.
